A well structured home fitness program is the ultimate solution for getting and staying strong, healthy, sexy and fit. If the logistical challenge and unrealistic time commitment of doing the 'health club thing' has been preventing you from getting into top shape - then a home fitness plan is your key to success.
 

If you have a career and a family - you know that every minute counts and time is precious. A home fitness program can cut your workout time in less than half - as compared to traditional gym type fitness routines. This can be the difference between 'finding the time' to workout or not exercising at all.
 

Unfortunately, the 'no time to exercise' excuse wins out so often - and this is one of the main reasons why there are so many more 'unfit and unhealthy' people than there are fit and sexy people. Well, you don't have to be one of the 'unfit' anymore. The first step toward regaining your toned body and high levels of energy is knowing that a home fitness routine can deliver amazing results in a fraction of the time that you have been led to believe.
 

The two-hour workouts that are so common in the fitness centers have evolved from the 'more is better' and 'monkey see, monkey do' phenomenons that have been around for decades. Unlike a targeted and efficient home fitness program, a typical health club routine consists of more guesswork, uncertainty and wasted time than anything else.
 

Of course, there are a select few who know what to do and get it done efficiently and wisely - but again, the focus of this article is to shed light on the fact that home fitness training can be even more productive than time consuming gym workouts.
 

One of the biggest surprises to home fitness newcomers is the fact that there is no need for elaborate fitness equipment and expensive machines. As a matter of fact some of the best home fitness routines I have devised are done with nothing more than a floor mat. And I'm not talking about some 'fluff stuff' exercises - I'm talking about real workouts that can make the most hardened fitness veterans open their eyes wide and say "Whoa - that's amazing!"
 

Some space and some creativity are the two most important elements of a home fitness program. By creativity I mean learning how to use your body and the effects of gravity to devise exercises that stimulate muscle use and metabolic responses. The specifics of your home fitness program should be fine tuned, depending on your specific goals.
 

Body toning, muscle building, flexibility improvement, fat burning, weight loss, body sculpting, strength building - these are just some of the goals that may suit you and your health and fitness needs. No matter what your objectives are you can structure your home exercise program and nutritional intake to be in line with your overall fitness goals.
 

Some other home fitness tools that you may already own are a utility step that you would use to reach the top cupboard or a staircase, a knee-high bench or ottoman, a doorway (yes, just an open doorway). These are just a few of the items that can give you a results oriented home fitness program.
 

With these items alone you can do modified step-ups, push-offs, door jamb rows, one leg hip extensions, single leg dips, core toners, back builders, fat fryers, butt shapers, flab tighteners - the list can go on and on - but I think you get my point.
 

Your house has more home fitness equipment in it than you think. Body weight exercises and newer, safer versions of many 'old-school' calisthenic exercises can deliver definite results and long term success while saving you hours of valuable time.
 

Your home fitness program can be the key to a healthy mind a strong sexy body and an energetic spirit that not only benefits you but also those around you. Make 'you' a priority so that all other areas of your life can be lived to the fullest.
